CFIS, National Center for Educational Technology and China Youth New Media Association co-host a series of activities to promote online safety for youth from Feb. 25. The activities organized by Online Education Professional Committee of CFIS include online classes, practice activities about Internet literacy, themed seminars and studies on protecting minors online.
As part of the program, educational professionals, teachers, parents, young people and representatives from industry associations and companies, as well as scholars and experts from related authorities, tech companies and research institutions give online lessons on a wide range of subjects. This year's webcast of societal benefits on the National Public Service Platform for Education Resources (URL: https://www.eduyun.cn/) is divided into 12 sessions starting from late February to the end of December. The first session has been officially launched on Feb. 25. Tong Lihua, a renowned legal expert, Director of Beijing Teenagers Law Aid and Research Center and Director of Beijing Zhicheng Law Firm explains the new requirements for parents in China's Family Education Promotion Law and how parents can fulfil their responsibilities of protecting minors in the Internet era.
This program named “E-escort, E-safety” has been held annually since 2020, accessible to young people all over China, benefiting more than tens of millions of viewers and raising young people’s awareness of safe online surfing. Not only are they better at protecting themselves, their schools, families, and Internet platforms become more responsible thanks to the highly-acclaimed program by many parents, teenagers and children.
