The 2023 China Internet Civilization Conference was held in Xiamen, Fujian on July 18. Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
Zhou Zuyi, secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony and attended the main forum. Hu Heping, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee in charge of daily work, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech at the main forum. Zhuang Rongwen, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, director of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech at the main forum. Huang Xiaowei, secretary of the the Party Leadership Group, vice-president and first member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), and Cao Shumin, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and minister of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) , attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches at the main forum. A Dong, first secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, Chen Xu, vice minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and Zhao Long, deputy secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Party Committee and governor of Fujian Province, were present at the opening ceremony and the main forum.
Cui Yonghui, member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, Hu Jinjun, vice president of the China Media Group, Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the World Internet Conference and president of the China Federation of Internet Societies (CFIS), Yang Jie, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and chairman of China Mobile Communications Corporation, as well as heads of Internet enterprises and Internet celebrities of positive energy delivered keynote addresses at the main forum. Meanwhile, Niu Yibing, deputy director of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, unveiled the “China Internet Civilization Development Report 2023”.
Under the theme “Pooling the Strength of Civilization to Forge Ahead on a Great Journey”, the conference attracted approximately 800 attendees from various government departments, Internet enterprises, Internet social organizations, as well as experts, scholars, and Internet users alike.
